New Assignment – Field Application Engineer – Oregon OR California

Grant Alexander is helping Soitec’s Specialty Electronics Business Unit find a talented Field Application Engineer. This particular business unit utilizes Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) technique, a technology particularly well suited for the production of electronic devices such as High Electron Mobility Transistors (HEMTs), Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors (HBTs), or Metal Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MESFETs). These electronics devices are the key components to design many different and complex electronic functions employed in commercial and/or military applications. Soitec is also developing GaN nitride unique technologies, based upon MOCVD, HVPE and its unique Smart Cut™ technology.This is a home based position in either the Portland, Oregon or Cupertino, California (Silicon Valley) areas. The role requires approximately 50% travel and the successful candidate will have experience in III-V compound semiconductor technology, III-V devices, GaAs RF components design, and electronic circuits and systems architecture. A minimum of 5 years experience in III-V process engineering is preferred.  A technical undergraduate degree in microelectronics or comparable qualification is required.  Advanced education (Masters or PhD) in microelectronics with a specialty in III-V compounds semiconductor is preferred
